Five Years of Loopr AI

Dear Loopr Family,

Today marks five years since we started Loopr.

‍

I am a fourth-generation entrepreneur in my family's manufacturing business. I grew up inside it, not visiting it.

Around 2011 I saw a problem nobody had solved. A defect could happen today or two days from now. You cannot ask a person to stand there waiting for it.So the defect would go inside the product, and by the time anyone found it, it was already buried in the process. I did not know then how to close that gap. I just knew it mattered.

That is where Loopr started.

I am thinking less about those early years today and more about what is ahead. Quality inspection on factory floors has changed more in the last five years than I expected it to, and I believe the next five will move faster still.

We built Loopr to work the way real factories actually work, not the way a demo looks in a clean room. So, we made it hardware agnostic from day one.Whatever cameras a plant already has, whatever old equipment they cannot afford to replace, we work with it. We never asked manufacturers to rebuild their floor around us.

None of that happened because of one person or one idea.It happened because of the work each of you put in. Hard problems. Long days. Decisions that mattered to someone on a factory floor we will never meet.

I see that work. I do not always say it as often as I should, so I am saying it now.

There are still thousands of plants living inside the same gap I saw in 2011, the space between a defect happening and someone noticing it. Closing that gap, one plant at a time, is still the job. I believe we are better positioned to do it than we have ever been, and that is because of who is in this company, not just what we have built.

Thank you for the first five years. I am grateful for each of you, and I mean that plainly. What we build next matters more, and I would rather build it with this team than any other.
